Windshield Washer Fluid: Choosing the Right Type of Windshield Washer Fluid

Windshield Washer Fluid: Choosing the Right Type of Windshield Washer Fluid

Windshield Washer Fluid: If you own a car, it’s likely you’ve bought plenty of windshield washer fluid during your lifetime. All drivers use it to keep their windows not only clear of dirt and all sorts of other gunk but also free of ice and other things that could obscure our vision while driving.

At Western Oil Services, we provide a variety of types of windshield washer fluid to the businesses and organizations we serve so that their vehicles – ranging from cars and buses to fire engines – have use of the right kind of washer fluid for their needs.

So, what’s the difference? There’s the blue stuff. And then there’s the green stuff. Right?

Not at all! Not all types of windshield washer fluid are created equal and there are a variety of reasons for choosing specific products. And while choosing the washer fluid might not be the most difficult part of operating and maintaining a fleet of vehicles, it is indeed an important decision.

Outdoor temperature

What the thermometer reads outside on a cold day can certainly effect how your windshield washer fluid works…or doesn’t work. For areas around Vancouver and north, cold winters are a reality and choosing washer fluid that is appropriate for the climate is essential.

Winter is indeed the enemy of such fluids, so that’s why we recommend to our clients a fluid that contains the appropriate mixture of antifreeze. As soon as that temperature dips below freezing, your washer fluid will freeze as well if you’re not using the kind that includes de-icing ingredients. That presents a real possibility of disaster for you and your vehicles.

If you buy a bottle of washer fluid off the shelf for your personal vehicle, you’ll most likely find a list of temperatures at which it works efficiently. You should check those numbers before you buy. Of course, at Western Oil Services, we do that for you. You can be sure that we’ll choose the correct washer fluid for your fleet of vehicles so that there are no issues with freezing when the weather turns frigid.

Water repellent fluids

Aside from general purpose windshield washer fluids and de-icing fluids that work at low temperatures, fluids that repel water are also popular. These contain additives that use a so-called “water beading” technology, which disperses rain, sleet, and snow so that visibility is better. Many individuals use this kind of washer fluid on their personal cars and its ideal for rainy seasons and when the temperature is moderate to hot.

We have what YOU need

At Western Oil Services, we’re experts in windshield washer fluid and offer the best products on the market for your vehicles. If you’re searching for a new supplier that offers a variety of windshield washer options as well as the knowledge that comes with decades of experience in the field, let us put together a cost-saving package and proposal for you.

Maintenance Procedures Insure Equipment Efficiency

Maintenance Procedures Insure Equipment Efficiency

The first step for most businesses that require petroleum Maintenance Procedures Insure Equipment is to secure the best items available so that their business runs smoothly from the start. Purchasing quality equipment rather than less expensive, less efficient equipment is always a worthwhile investment. Most business owners agree that investing money up front to insure customer satisfaction is always a good bet.

Equally as important, however, is the maintaining of those items, and with petroleum equipment, that equates to regular inspections that guarantee everything is working properly and that everyone in proximity of that equipment will remain safe and free from injury. That’s why hiring a company that performs regularly service and maintenance – before you call with a problem – is essential.

Experienced technicians

When choosing a petroleum equipment service company, ask about the technicians’ experience. Servicing this equipment needs proper training. Pick a company with skilled professionals and trainees learning the latest technology.

In British Columbia, hands-on programs train new technicians under experts with decades of experience. After completing the required hours, trainees earn a BC Trade Certificate. This qualifies them as petroleum equipment installers or technicians.

At Western Oil, we value certification. It allows our technicians to work on federal property. Certification also ensures they have the skills to get the job done right. Happy customers trust us and keep coming back.

What kind of service and maintenance should be expected?

Periodic inspections are essential to good service and maintenance of any petroleum equipment. When you purchase such equipment, you should discuss the service parameters with your dealer.

Clients of Western Oil have come to expect top-notch maintenance service, which involves follow-ups to schedule regular inspections as well as immediate attention to any emergency needs that must be addressed immediately. We also recognize the needs of unique and seasonal businesses, like marinas or ski resorts, and plan service visits accordingly with the client’s input.

Visual inspections of fueling systems are done regularly and technicians at Western Oil will take a close look at fill boxes, hoses, nozzles, and anything else that could present a problem or simply wear out. Our service reps look for expiration dates and examine equipment that might be past its prime. Then they’ll make recommendations for repairs or replacements, which they can usually do “on the spot” for the customer’s convenience.

Western Oil strives for efficiency and, as such, technicians can often complete a job in just one visit. If we can’t, however, we’ll be honest with you and schedule an additional service and maintenance visit to finish the task as soon as possible, so that there’s little waiting for repairs, replacements, or Maintenance Procedures Insure Equipment.

Installations of Fueling Equipment Require Attention to Detail

Installations of Fueling Equipment Require Attention to Detail

It’s all in the details of Installations of Fueling Equipment.

How many times have you heard that phrase? No doubt, it’s a sentence you hear often, one that pertains to a variety of processes where the little things are super-important.

Installations of fueling equipment certainly require the utmost attention to the small stuff, so it really is “all in the details” when it comes to getting the job done properly the first time around. At Western Oil services, our installations are precise, providing our customers with exactly what they need for their fuel equipment requirements, whether they’re a small family-owned service station or a huge industrial complex.

Your plans or ours?

Many of our customers don’t have a design plan in place when they contact the experts at Western Oil services about fuel equipment installations. That’s okay! A large number of our installations are design/build projects. That means our experienced designers/engineers come up with the details for the installation on many of our projects. As a matter of fact, about three-quarters of our installations begin without completed drawings from which to work. That’s why having a knowledgeable staff is ultra-important to us…and to you.

However, we’re also more than happy to work with the customer’s designer. We’re flexible! We’ll examine the plans, make recommendations or adjustments if necessary, and install the equipment according to the customer’s wishes.

And because our technicians and installers boast high levels of experience and training, they’ll make it all work seamlessly, using products that we know are reliable and long-lasting.

And then there’s the details!

Fueling equipment is dangerous if installed poorly or without meeting specific requirements. That’s why we check every detail thoroughly before starting any work.

We work directly with municipalities to meet all local requirements. We also secure the necessary permits from local authorities. For federal land or First Nations property, we ensure installations meet special criteria. No matter the location, we stand by our work.

Western Oil Services is ready to travel for our customers. While most installations are in Greater Vancouver, we’ve completed projects across Canada. Our technicians have worked in the harsh conditions of the Yukon and Northwest Territories. They’ve also traveled as far east as Alberta and Ontario.

Why do customers choose us? Our reputation speaks for itself. Clients want the best fueling equipment installations. Thanks to our attention to detail and hundreds of satisfied customers, word spreads quickly.

We’re proud of our nearly 70 years of service. Many of our installers bring decades of experience across various industries. We plan to continue delivering quality installations for many years to come.
